Channel Seven‘s Larry Emdur broke down in tears as he shared a tribute to the victims of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack that left 16 people dead and dozens wounded.
The 61-year-old’s voice trembled as he delivered a heartbreaking video message to all those impacted by the tragedy.
With his bottom lip shaking, Larry, who grew up in Bondi, began by telling his followers that he had tried to make his video ‘about 35 times’.
Posting to Instagram, the fan favourite said he wanted to ‘say something’ on Sunday, after news of the attack on the Chanukah by the Sea Jewish festival at Bondi broke – and confessed he just ‘couldn’t’.
‘I’ll try now, and I don’t know whether I can,’ Larry continued.
‘I thought maybe if I let it sit for a second or a minute or a few hours, I’ll know what to say, and I don’t, still.’

He added: ‘I just want to send all my love and best wishes, clearly, to the victims, to the families of the victims.’
With tears in his eyes, Larry then shared his deep connection to the famed Aussie beach, which has been a long-time family playground for locals and visitors alike.
‘I’ve grown up at Bondi Beach, I’ve walked across that bridge one million times when my feet were so small,’ he said, referring to the landmark footbridge used by shooters.
He added, ‘And I’ve played in that park [where the shooting occurred] all of my life, and Bondi has only ever been for me a place of happiness.
‘And all I can remember from 50 or 60 years there, is happy family times, and laughing, and having fun and beautiful memories.
‘That all changed yesterday for so many families and so many people.
‘The people at the beautiful festival celebrating life and love, and all of the people at the beach, their lives have been changed forever.
‘They’ve seen things you’re never supposed to see anywhere in the world, let alone on a family day at Bondi Beach.

‘So my heart goes out to you all, and my family are so sad, so sad, and I just wanted to let you know we are all thinking of you, everyone who this has affected, and there are so many people.’
‘So lots of love to you all,’ Larry said as he signed off.
Larry also included the caption: ‘I’m a Bondi boy, and our Bondi heart is completely shattered,’ and included a heartbroken emoji.
TV producer and former talk show host Rove McManus shared a message on Larry’s post: ‘Beautiful words mate. Love to you and the family as well as everyone affected by this horrible tragedy.’
Bachelor star Tim Robards also messaged Larry: ‘So sad mate. Beautiful words.’
It comes after witnesses said two men stepped out of a vehicle on Campbell Parade, near Bondi Pavilion, and opened fire about 6.47pm on Sunday, with footage showing blast after blast on the tourist strip.
Some witnesses reported more than 30 shots.
NSW Premier Chris Minns has confirmed that the incident was targeted at the Jewish community.
Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon formally designated the attack a terrorist incident.
The two alleged gunmen accused of shooting dead 16 people and injuring dozens of others were a father and son, NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon has confirmed.
Naveed Akram, 24, suffered critical injuries and remains in hospital under police guard.
