Russell Westbrook and his Denver Nuggets didn’t have the best week. They lost four consecutive games amid a fierce competition for the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference standings.

It all started with the gut-wrenching 140-139 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in double overtime. Westbrook missed a layup to give his team a 141-39 lead before committing fouling Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s 3-point shot, which resulted in the 140-139 final result.

Westbrook refused to address reporters for three games (including losses to the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors) before the NBA requested the veteran to be available to reporters.

A video shared by radio host Darren McKee shows Westbrook giving vague responses to reporters after the 125-120 Sunday loss to the Indiana Pacers.

His responses raised many eyebrows within the Nuggets fanbase and several fans called him out for his lack of self-accountability after not having the best week.

“”He never takes accountability he acts like he’s this years mvp,” one fan said.

“Russell Westbrick dudes a loser,” another fan wrote.

“Westbrook has always been a punk. Great guy in the community and family man but damn a loser really stands out in a room full of winners,” a third fan said.

“Just pathetic. Westbrook avoids the media for 3 games after he screwed up vs the Wolves, league gives him a warning, and this is how he reacts. 17yr vet and bro acts like a child. Just zero accountability. Get this bum outta Denver right now,” a fourth fan added.

“Sabotaging every team his plays for,” a fifth fan said.

“He’s such a joke,” a sixth fan said.

The Nuggets dropped four consecutive games at the worst moment, but they’ll have the chance to redeem themselves this week. The next three games (at Sacramento, versus Memphis and at Houston) can set the tone for their playoff run.
