One of the biggest names on Aussie airwaves has given a shocking health update live on-air.

Jackie Henderson, more commonly known as Jackie O, 50, revealed she is scheduled in for a colonoscopy tomorrow following a shocking health scare earlier this year.

During today’s episode of KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O Show, she told co-host Kyle Sandilands she’d undergone several tests that had pointed towards leukaemia.

According to Henderson, a team of doctors were convinced she had blood cancer when the results of a recent blood test raised red flags.

“These things came up on the blood test where they actually thought I had a blood cancer, leukaemia,’ Jackie revealed to a stunned Sandilands.

Her co-host was reeling at the revelation – and even more surprised it was the first time he was hearing of it.

But Henderson said she had kept the news under wraps because she’d been apprehensive about opening up about it.

“I didn’t want to mention it because I was a bit nervous,” she admitted to Sandilands.

She went on to say that she’d been sent for a bone marrow biopsy because her doctors had been “really quite sure” that all the signs pointed to cancer.

“They basically said with these markers it really is [cancer], pretty much.”

Thankfully, Henderson was given the all-clear, despite the cause of her elevated white blood cell counts remaining unclear.

She went on to confirm that while she did not have cancer, she would be going in for a colonoscopy the next day as a “triple measure.”

She admitted she was a bit anxious about the logistics of the procedure, and called on self-proclaimed “colonoscopy veteran” Sandilands to ease her mind.

“The fasting and the prep that you have to do, I’ve been warned, is pretty horrific when it comes to going to the toilet,” she said.

But rather than dispel her worries, Sandilands was characteristically blunt, confirming Henderson’s worst fears with a graphic description of the process.

This is the latest in a slew of health scares that the host has opened up about on-air.

She’s previously discussed an instance where she was rushed to hospital with symptoms consistent with a heart attack, which then turned out to be an infection.

She also got candid about a past cancer scare in 2023, when she found a lump in her breast while dressing for a photo shoot.

But after undergoing an emergency mammogram, she was once again given the all-clear by her doctors.
