Drake is getting real about gambling.
The five-time Grammy winner, 38, took to Instagram Stories Wednesday to recap an awful stretch he’s endured as a bettor, losing an astounding $8 million over the past month.
‘Gotta share the other side of gambling…’ the In My Feelings rapper wrote. ‘Losses are so fried right now… I hope I can post a big one for you soon cause I’m the only one that has never seen a Max these guys Max once a week.’
The Toronto native, whose full name is Aubrey Drake Graham, detailed his wagering plans set around Thursday’s NBA Finals Game Six, pitting the Indiana Pacers against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
As it stands, the Thunder, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren, are a victory away from claiming the NBA crown with a three-two series lead, coming off a 120-109 win Monday.

Drake believes the Thunder will emerge with the NBA title, as he made two wagers totaling $800,000 backing them.
One of the bets Drake made – putting up $200,000 to win $712,000 is that the Thunder will defeat the Pacers by a margin of 6-10 points.
Drake also made a straight wager on the Thunder moneyline to defeat the Pacers straight up.
The Work rapper bet $600,000 to win $222,000, as the road team is a heavy favorite to claim the title come Thursday in Indiana.
The What’s My Name? artist tagged Oklahoma City superstar Gilgeous-Alexander into the post, writing, ‘Check that box @shai.’
It was not immediately clear why Drake wanted Gilgeous-Alexander to keep track of the box score during the game. Gilgeous-Alexander did not appear to respond via the platform as of Wednesday evening, as he is presumably resting up for Thursday’s key game.
Drake is by no means the only celebrity to get the gambling itch.
Others who have been linked to gaming in the past include Bravo alum Kim Zolciak, A-list actor Ben Affleck and legendary late comedian Norm MacDonald.

The First Person Shooter performer’s gambling woes date back far beyond the recent championship NBA series, as he’s been plagued for years by bad beats – and bad bets.
Drake – the focal point of the Kendrick Lamar diss track Not Like Us amid their blistering rivalry – was even the namesake of a curse attributed to him after his support for a number of Canadian teams proved to be the kiss of death.
Among the teams he’s supported who have fallen short include the NBA’s Toronto Raptors, NHL’s Edmonton Oilers and Canada men’s national soccer team.

Social media users last year joked that Drake even managed to jinx the Los Angeles Dodgers’ two-way player, whose interpreter Ippei Mizuhara was arrested in March of 2024 amid a gambling scandal just as Ohtani was making his Dodger debut after inking a record contract.
Mizuhara in June 2024 pleaded guilty to bank fraud and filing a false tax return; this week, he began serving a federal prison sentence that will span nearly five years in connection with the plea deal.
