Chris Paul has been a star in the NBA since he was drafted in 2005. Currently in his 19th season in the league, Paul is about to turn 40 years old this year.

Naturally, the question of whether he will continue to play has been on every NBA fan’s mind.

Having taken on a veteran role with the San Antonio Spurs, Chris Paul has still played major minutes this season.

In fact, he hasn’t missed a single game for the Spurs, playing in all 76. So it’s no surprise that when he opened up about his future, it didn’t sound like he’s ready to hang it up anytime soon.

““I’ll be 40 in May. So, yeah man, I’m going to keep playing, I think,” Paul said.” At the end of every season, I evaluate everything. Evaluate playing.

“Evaluate how my body feels. But the more years that go by, it’s more conversations with my family, with my kids. They have a lot of say so. They got a lot of input.”

Chris Paul has obviously fallen off from his days as an All-Star but he has contributed at a good level nonetheless. This season, Paul is averaging 8.8 points and 7.6 assists per game. He is 7th in the league’s assists standings, no mean feat for a player in his 19th season at the highest level.

CP3 is yet to win a ring, and with a potential future face of the league on his team in Victor Wembanyama, that could be a reason he still wishes to keep going. As far as the fans are concerned, watching an all-time point guard play for as many years as he can sounds like a no-brainer.
