It looks like we’re about to see some action in the National Hockey League involving Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson.

I don’t know if Kent Hughes can pull another rabbit out of his hat and hit another home run, but one thing is certain-something is definitely brewing in the Robertson file.

See what the well-respected Jeff Marek just said:

Jeff Marek: “I really do suspect that something will happen with Jason Robertson; it feels like it’s going to be sooner than later; Nill has a number in his mind and won’t go over it; we might find out quickly; either an extension or maybe a trade”

When an insider like Marek makes a statement like this, it means he’s heard something suggesting that movement is happening here.

Something Is About to Happen in the Jason Robertson Situation

Will it be a contract extension or a trade?

Stay tuned-it wouldn’t be the first time a major trade was announced in the middle of summer.

On that note, let’s not forget that as we reported earlier today, the Dallas Stars tried to land Noah Dobson before he was ultimately traded to the Montreal Canadiens.

Was Jason Robertson part of that offer?

Let’s just say we have good reason to believe he was.

Jason Robertson, 25, is an elite 6-foot-3, 207-pound forward who racked up 109 points-including 46 goals-in 82 games during the 2022-23 season.

Since then, he’s recorded 80 points in 82 games in each of the past two campaigns.

He earns $7.75 million per year through 2026, but will still be under team control afterward (restricted free agent – RFA).
