A sneak peek of the Golden Bachelor finale sees single dad-of-three Bear Myrden declare he’s “in love”, but just days before the final episode airs, a new interview saw the star make a brutally honest confession.

“I don’t know if I can get used to this,” Bear, 61, admitted to 9Entertainment when asked if he’d fallen in love with the magic of TV.

One thing is certain: he’s become a lot more used to being in the spotlight, even if he remains a little uneasy with his newfound fame.

“It’s very strange but exciting, and I’m very open – and I may regret saying this, but anyone who wants to come up and say hello, they’re more than welcome,” he said in a message to fans.

”I’m a pretty big guy, so not a lot of people approach me, but there are a few that do, and it’s very surreal.”

Rumours have swirled around Bear as the season of Golden Bachelor draws to a close on Channel Nine.

The star has been unable to escape speculation that he remains single after his stint on the show.

Host Samantha Armytage even joined the discussion surrounding Bear’s relationship status amid a rumour that she was dating the reality TV star.

“He does not find love with me,” Sam told 9Entertainment on November 7.  “I can just stand next to a man and apparently I’m dating him but no I’m not dating him.”

In the same interview, the former Sunrise star also gave away a huge spoiler about the finale – and you might be surprised, given the speculation swirling.

“He’s been a wonderful inaugural Golden Bachelor and he finds love,” Sam said of Bear.

“Watch this space. The next few weeks are massive.”
