Big Brother had its first double elimination for the 2025 season, and viewers were not happy with the result. Host Mel Tracina promised fans that this would be the “biggest twist of the season” so far, and she wasn’t lying.

The country was asked who they wanted to remain in the Dreamworld mansion out of Allana, Jane, and Mia. The votes came in, and the first on the chopping block was the Groovy Granny from Melbourne.

Fellow Melburnian Mia also received the least amount of votes and was booted out of the Big Brother house. While some fans were happy with the result, others were fuming.

Jane, who made history as the oldest contestant of the Australian arm of the reality TV show at 67, divided many during her 14 days in the mansion because of her political views as well as her feuds with other housemates.

Social media was awash with comments saying “thank god” that she was gone, but some leapt to her defence.

“I liked Jane. A bunch of dudes ganging up on her and the world ‘old’ shaming her wasn’t it,” said one fan.

“Sad to see her go, great she was still playing the game putting pressure on 2 that were coasting through,” added another.

But many also complained that they wished Mitch was given a chance to shine on the show instead of Jane.

Australia was asked in the early stages of the season whether they wanted the 67-year-old to enter the Gold Coast or a bloke named Mitch Miletic.

They ended up picking the former, but now viewers feel like they got their initial choice wrong.

“I feel so bad for Mitch cause had we known Jane was a Trumpie we wouldn’t have voted her in,” one said.

“Should’ve sent in Mitch!” added another.

Additional viewers were sad that Mia was also given the flick during Sunday night’s double eviction.

“Mia was my fave from the start so I’m devo over tonight’s eviction. She is such a beautiful ball of energy and light. Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle Mia,” wrote one fan.

“Wish Mia stayed, she was actually entertaining and find her funny!” added another.

When will 2025 Big Brother Australia finish?

TVTonight has revealed this year’s season of the reality TV show will apparently wrap up on December 8.

That means we only have two weeks left to eliminate nearly a dozen people to find the winner.

There could be more double or even triple eliminations to whittle the list down from the current 10 housemates.

But there could also be new housemates thrown into the mix to compete for Australia’s heart.
