Abbie Chatfield has taken her fresh career as a painter to the next level.

The 30-year-old podcaster took to social media on Tuesday to ask her 585,000 followers how much they would be prepared to pay for her artwork.

And it appears enthusiasts for Abbie’s daubs could be up for as much as $300 or more for an A3-size print.

Posting to her Instagram stories, Abbie revealed her production costs.

Sharing one of her recent works, the controversial social media star asked in the caption, ‘How much would you pay for a high-quality A3 print?’

She added: ‘Printing an A3 alone is around $150 wholesale from what I can find?’

Abbie also asked other artists for their advice about costs.

Typically, the price of an artwork sees more than a 100 per cent markup after all costs are factored in, and the price is even higher if the artist’s work is in demand.

Meanwhile, on her Bug Doing Art platform, a page dedicated to Abbie’s artwork, the one-time reality star shared a video featuring some of her recent paintings.

‘Few quick face sketches (including 2 of @keliholiday,’ Abbie said in the caption, referring to her boyfriend Adam Hyde by his alter ego.

One of the abstract pieces appeared to show Adam in profile and featured the singer rendered in bright blue and red.

A second sketch saw Adam’s trademark long hair sketched with a combination of red, blue and brown colours.

Admirers swamped her comments section with encouragement, and even offers to purchase the abstract works after Abbie launched her new career on Monday.

‘Oh my god, I would totally buy your art!’ raved one fan, while another said, ‘Um, these are great! Would love to know if you will do commissions.’

Someone else said: ‘Oh my god, I would totally buy your art!’ with one more adding, ‘Is there anything you can’t do queen!?’

‘Okay but I want to buy one or get you to do something cool for my salon! These are AMAZING,’ said someone else.

Abbie also had support from her boyfriend Adam Hyde, who wrote: ‘I’m so proud of you. It’s just the beginning.’

Not everyone was wowed by Abbie’s artistic talents, however.

‘I’ve seen better finger painting from five-year-olds,’ said one person, with another commenting, ‘My five-year-old is a better artist!’

‘This is pure delusion, have you seen a Picasso or a Rembrandt painting?’ one more asked.

’95 per cent of four-year-olds produce better art than this,’ complained one more, and someone else said, ‘Starting to look and sound like Meghan Markle with that dreadful piece of rubbish she calls art.’

Abbie shared her first finished opus with her fans in an Instagram Stories post on Sunday.

She debuted her first painting, an abstract portrait of a psychedelic slug, revealing that she has taken up art of late to ease her anxiety.
