EXCLUSIVE: Jaide and Jotham have split following the Love Island Australia grand finale.

Speaking to 9Entertainment, Jaide confirmed she and Jotham broke up a week after they returned home from Spain.

“He had a situationship thingy that he went back to,” Jaide explained the reason for their split.

“I was so shocked I did not expect that at all. That was the last thing I thought he was gonna say.

“I was really frustrated. I thought why did he even go on Love Island in the first place and why did he make things so deep with me.”

Jaide revealed that Jotham made their relationship exclusive during their final date so she was even more confused when he rekindled things with his situationship.
“He was kind of breadcrumbing me for the week after we left. I called him and asked him ‘What are you doing?’ and then he told me about the girl from there,” she explained.

“I don’t think they’re boyfriend and girlfriend from the best of my knowledge but I didn’t ask too much more.”

Jaide said she was definitely upset by the news, having thought that she and Jotham had a genuine future together.

They spent two days together in Spain after filming the grand finale where they spoke about future trips and plans but things quickly fizzled went out as she returned to Sydney and he to the Gold Coast.

The exes are still on good terms even watching the grand finale and partying together the night it aired.

“We’re on talking terms because I just can’t be bothered holding a grudge but I do think what he did was just so horrible,” Jaide said.

Jaide said that she wanted to keep things civil with the show airing and was mindful that they both share friends.

She also revealed that Jotham failed to comment on the breakup after he slept in and missed his flight ahead of the interview.

“I definitely view [Jotham] very differently to how I did in the Villa,” Jaide admitted.

She said watching back the grand finale was difficult especially considering she now felt the whole relationship was “fake”.

As for Jaide’s future plans she declared her “DMs are open” for any suitors. Plus she’s returning home to New Zealand for the Christmas break and has plenty of travelling in the pipeline.
