She might not have found love on The Golden Bachelor, but rumours are swirling that Jan Herdman will star in the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette. Fans have rallied around the 67-year-old transformation coach to receive a second chance at finding love on TV after Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden sent her home this week.
While Channel 9 has yet to green-light the spin-off series, which launched in the US last year, it appears Jan is definitely interested in the idea. The bodybuilder recently joined the talent agency DL COMMS, with director Drew Lambert telling Yahoo Lifestyle that she has a very exciting media career ahead of her.
“Whether she’s tapped to become The Golden Bachelorette or launches her own TV show about helping Australians over 50 live stronger, longer lives, there is a massive audience waiting for this kind of storytelling,” he said.
“There are also countless brands trying to connect with this demographic, and Jan is the one person who can speak to them with real conviction.”
Drew went on to say that his phone “hasn’t stopped ringing” over the past two weeks with brands eager to work with Jan.
“She’s fiercely independent, she’s in love with life, and she’s an inspiration to anyone who thinks their best years are behind them,” he added.
“Jan now has both the platform and the purpose to make a national impact, and I know she was put on this earth to teach Australians that healthy ageing is the key to living freely and fully.”

Will there be an Australian season of The Golden Bachelorette?
The Golden Bachelor host, Samantha Armytage, told Yahoo Lifestyle that although nothing has been finalised yet, she would love to expand the franchise here.
“As we say with this show, you don’t know what the future holds,” she shared.
“So I think let’s just get The Golden Bachelor’s inaugural Australian season to air and see how that goes, but I think there is a bright future ahead for this show.”
Channel 9 confirms The Golden Bachelor season two
Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed that The Golden Bachelor will be returning for a second season after a casting call from Warner Bros. was recently posted online.
“Are you in your 50s or 60s and looking for love in your golden years?” the post read.
“Or do you know someone who deserves another shot at their happily ever after?”
“We are looking for Australia’s next Golden Bachelor and many incredible women who are excited to find love again.
“Join us today for an adventure of a lifetime!”
Casting is currently open to residents Australia-wide, with the season expected to air sometime in 2026.
