The Golden Bachelor was full of drama on Sunday night’s episode.

But one awkward moment failed to make it to air, with Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden getting very cosy with one contestant during a group date.

The 61-year-old silver fox was spotted carrying fan favourite Janette as they walked towards the river ahead of the Golden SUPBall Championship competition.

The Pilates studio owner, 61, couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she wrapped her arms around Bear while he lifted her on his back.

During the episode, Janette suffered an injured knee and was forced to sit out of the challenge.

However, footage of Bear helping her to the riverside as the other contestants looked on was omitted from the broadcast.

Elsewhere, the contestants were split into two teams and were seen competing in the challenge.

They were required to get the ball to the other side of the water while standing on a paddleboard.

After the camping adventure, they had a rose ceremony and Bear was left reeling when one of the ladies refused his rose.

Terri, 61, was one of the hopefuls offered a chance to stay another week at the rose ceremony.

But when Bear called out her name, Terri hesitated, leaving the other women confused.

The Property Investor from Victoria tentatively stepped forward – and delivered Barry a shocking blow.

‘Will you accept this rose?’ a befuddled Bear asked again, his gaze fixed on a stony-faced Terri.

‘I thought long and hard about it. I’m not going to accept your rose,’ Terri admitted, to gasps from the other ladies.

Bear whisked her away to talk privately, with Terri confessing: ‘It’s so emotional. I just don’t want to get hurt. It’s just such a big emotional rollercoaster.’

He comforted her, saying, ‘I just can only imagine how you must be feeling. My heart goes out to you.’

Terri was tearful as she explained her decision, revealing that while she had observed Bear make a connection with other ladies, that same spark was lacking between the two of them – leaving her in fear of getting hurt.

‘I’m grateful for these women that I’ve gotten to know. It just shows to me that there are so many (romances) that are just blooming,’ she said.

‘I’m really grateful for my time with Bear, and every moment I spoke to him. But I know what he’s got, and I’m just not there.’

Terri then left the show, with the other women absolutely shocked by what had transpired.

Refusing a rose is rarely seen on The Bachelor franchise, and has happened only a handful of times in the show’s history.

Terri had very little time with Bear during a camping trip with the other ladies during Sunday’s episode.

Only Sunny scored a one-on-one date, leaving several of the women upset – and one, Kim, in tears, over her lack of connection with the Bachelor.
