In recent days, the excellent insider Marco D’Amico – appeared on the Poolcast, hosted by Marco Normandin and Pascal Cameron.

And at the end of the episode, he agreed to speak out specifically about the Crosby situation.

Given that D’Amico has access to solid insider information, his response is definitely worth paying attention to.

One thing is clear:

If Sidney Crosby is ever traded (likely after the upcoming season or at the next NHL trade deadline), he will be the one choosing his next destination.

With that in mind, here’s what D’Amico had to say on the matter:

“We’ll talk about it again at the trade deadline, we’ll talk about it again – if it’s not done (a Crosby trade) by the draft, […] for me, from what I know, it’s Montreal, Colorado, and maybe also Los Angeles.”

– Marco D’Amico, who adds that Toronto is also monitoring the situation, and that he’s becoming less convinced that the idea of Crosby being traded is far-fetched.

So it really seems like a legitimate possibility, and if it materializes, the teams to watch would be the Montreal Canadiens, the Colorado Avalanche, and possibly the Los Angeles Kings.
