Pierce Brosnan’s wife Keely Shaye Smith swathed her slimmed-down figure in a stylish ensemble when the couple were spotted this week.

Keely, 61, and her movie star husband, 71, stepped out Tuesday for a lunch date at Nobu Malibu, a fashionable sushi restaurant beloved by celebrities.

The outing came days after Keely showcased her sensational weight loss, which observers have estimated at 100lbs, at the premiere of Pierce’s new show MobLand.

After setting the internet ablaze with her reduced frame, Keely proudly surfaced this week in a sleek outfit that elegantly accentuated her figure.

She opted for a flowing, summery white blouse over a fitted pair of black trousers that played up her shapely legs as she strolled beside Pierce.

Meanwhile the James Bond icon opted for a head-to-toe black ensemble, clashing against his distinguished coiff of snowy white hair.

Keely garnered headlines last week after displaying her incredible weight loss at the MobLand premiere in New York City.

The American journalist, who married Pierce in 2001, displayed her new figure in a black, lace mini dress with three-quarter sleeves.

However despite her changing appearance, Pierce has always supported his wife after he defended her back in 2022.

After the couple celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary back in the August of that year, a cruel post about Keely’s weight went viral on Facebook.

In the post, which has since been deleted trolls compared how her body had changed since first meeting Pierce in 1994.

Yet the star made sure to defend his wife as he replied: ‘Friends offered her surgery to reduce her weight. But I strongly love every curve of her body.

‘She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children.’

He continued: ‘In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I’m loving her even more that she is my children’s mother.

Last year, Keely told Vogue: ‘I never shy away from … my curves. I never hide in baggy clothing.’ Pierce then added: ‘I love my wife’s curves.’

Pierce was previously married to Cassandra Harris and adopted her daughter Charlotte and son Christopher when their dad passed away in 1986. And together, they welcomed son Sean in 1983.

Charlotte died from ovarian cancer in 2013 at age 41.

Just over three years on after Charlotte’s tragic passing, Pierce met American journalist Keely while in Mexico.

Upon meeting Pierce in Mexico in 1994, Keely told People that she immediately found the Bond actor ‘captivating’ and that he had a ‘mischievous sparkle in his eyes’.

He responded to the now deleted post saying: ‘She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children’

In the same interview, the actor said of his wife: ‘I found a great woman in Keely Shaye. Not if I searched a million times over would I find one as good.’

Gushing over how Keely has supported him in his grief for his first wife, he told the Irish Times in 2013: ‘Keely has always been kind and compassionate and encouraged me to mourn Cassie. … I suppose Keely is my North Star, always looking out for me.’

Celebrating Keely’s 60th birthday in September 2023, Pierce penned in his birthday post: ‘Sixty roses for my brown eyed girl on her 60th birthday.’

Referring to their first meeting he added: ‘Forever happy and blessed was I to be sitting there when you walked around the corner early one morning in Cabo San Lucas.’

Keely also supported her husband through more immeasurable grief, when his eldest daughter Charlotte died in 2013 from ovarian cancer, the same disease which claimed her mother’s life 21 years earlier. She was just 42 years old.

Later that year, he told the Irish Mirror how his wife continued to help him through his grief as he said: ‘Love is just the most beautiful, joyous feeling. It can come from many places.

‘Hopefully the one who is beside you, the one who is there on the pillow beside you in the morning – my wife.’

He added: ‘We seem to do well at being together and being in love and, more importantly, liking each other. The like factor is a great thing. Love cannot burn constantly.

‘It’s very hard for it to be so intense. But it’s wonderful. I tell her I love her everyday. It’s important to say that.’
