If there’s one thing that Big Brother Australia fans can’t stop talking about, it’s the showmance romance of Colin Ridley and Holly Young.

Is it real? Is it fake? Here’s what recently evicted “groovy granny” Jane Marshall-Doherty had to say.

From day dot, Colin, 21, was immediately smitten by 31-year-old model Holly. Since then, the pair’s connection has blossomed into a full-blown romance.

Their bond has also gifted us the first kiss of the Big Brother Australia reboot.

Although most folks are entertained by this unlikely pairing, Jane was one of the housemates who had a bone to pick with their under-the-blanket activities.

In her first couple of days in the house, Jane made a splash on our screens by telling Holly and Colin off for their PDA during a house meeting.

“If you guys want to have snog sessions and the whole thing, that’s great. But I don’t want to have to walk in it all the time,” Jane said.

“I can hear you pashing under a blanket. INAPPROPRIATE!”

With Holly and Colin’s romance continuing to grow stronger and stronger as the days go by, some folks are beginning to speculate that it’s all for the cameras, and others have claimed that it’s some kind of steamy game strategy for that $100K cash prize.

Speaking to PEDESTRIAN.TV, recently evicted housemate Jane chucked in her two cents on the viral reality TV relationship, admitting Holly has been “really good for him”. However, there’s “no real romance”.

“She’s been really good for him. They have a lot of private chats. She will help him on the outside,” Jane told P.TV.

“She will see him on the outside… I think they’re going to — they want to go to have fun. But there is no real romance. They’re just really good friends, and she has been very good for him, because he was, he does get upset quite easy.”

Another housemate (well, ex-housemate) who has been clear about his stance on Holly and Colin’s relationship is Michael Downs, who was evicted in Week One.

In his departing message to the house, Michael threw the show into chaos after calling out Holly and claiming she was “playing the game” by striking up a romance with Colin. The claim then sent Colin into tears, who was left confused by Michael’s words.
