Pat McAfee’s Big Night AHT, taking place at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, has finally arrived! It could be chock-full of surprises—especially for the Black and Gold faithful of the Steelers.
It has long been rumored that four-time MVP and close friend of McAfee, Aaron Rodgers, would announce his signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers at Big Night AHT—after co-host and fellow close friend of the QB, A.J. Hawk, joked that the announcement could be made at the Pittsburgh show.
McAfee even opened the door for a potential surprise appearance several times on his podcast but has also walked back the possibility. With that in mind, it remains to be seen if an NFL announcement of this magnitude could even be pulled off at the show.

The event has been referred to as a “variety show concept, where all the big stars came and did a show—just to do a show.” McAfee referenced that the entertainment industry has been devoid of these due to financial constraints and “so many people working against [celebrities] kind of coming together.”
No one will deny that a Rodgers signing would be the biggest announcement made at the show, but only time will tell if McAfee’s denial of such a possibility is part of the act as well. Fans can tune in to watch the variety and entertainment show live tonight at 8:00 PM EST on YouTube.
