There was hockey at the Bell Centre last night, as the Montreal Canadiens’ rookies faced off against the Winnipeg Jets’ rookies.

We were treated to a very entertaining show, notably thanks to young Habs forward Ivan Demidov, who was literally everywhere on the ice.

Every time he stepped on the ice, he did something special, and every time he stepped on the ice, Montreal had a chance to score!

It shows just how incredible of a player he is.

It’s not complicated.. The Canadiens’ rookies scored three goals last night, and Ivan Demidov collected three points!

Demidov also orchestrated his team’s first goal, scored by none other than Arber Xhekaj’s younger brother, Florian Xhekaj!

It was really beautiful to see, and it was great to witness the instant chemistry between Xhekaj and Demidov.

Everything indicates that they’ll be back on the Canadiens’ first line today, in this 2025 rookie camp.

What we experienced last night was truly special, with a buzzing Bell Centre.. On a Saturday night in September.. For a rookie game!

One thing is certain, after the game, it was obvious that young Demidov really enjoyed his evening!
