Farmer Thomas has made it clear he only has eyes for Clarette, so why are the other girls sticking around?

Farmer Wants A Wife viewers have all been left very confused about one very specific detail about the reality dating series, sharing their misgivings in various fan groups online. Despite Farmer Thomas making it very clear that he is falling for Clarette (his frontrunner and rumoured final pick), the other women on his farm are sticking around, leading viewers to ask why they are even bothering.
Clarette has also made it clear that she sees herself and Thomas as already being in a relationship, while the other women just seem to be there, not getting much closer to him. At this stage, the ladies who are still standing are Clarette, Rachael, Jessica, and Laura.
Farmer Wants A Wife fans question why Farmer Thomas is still on the show
After seeing so many women leave voluntarily, or farmers deciding to finish the show early because they’d found the one, many viewers were confused why Thomas (and the other three ladies) were still on the show.
One viewer asked the question on Facebook, “Why are Thomas’s ladies even there? Clarette is obviously his one. I, for one, would leave.”
Farmer Thomas and Clarette spoke about his text messages privately, and it was clear he was mostly sad that he’d hurt her, not the others. Photo: Seven
“Totally agree…we are all giving Clarette grief, but I think they are having a relationship and they are just playing the game for the show,” another said. “I bet if he had his way, he would grab Clarette and go. It will be interesting to see the upshot of all this but I really think we should lay off Clarette she is being painted the bad one when I think she is being used by the producers to make the show saucy and look at us falling for it.”
“Looks like he is a cheater,” another said, referencing the text messages Thomas sent to former contestant Claire. “Run ladies, as fast as you can.”
“The others left, why can’t they?” a third questioned, with someone else replying, “This is just my thoughts… Every season there is someone we don’t like and this season it’s Clarette. Most comments are about her and Thomas and the producers, I believe, are milking it for all its worth.”
“She’s too good for him,” one viewer said.
“Rachael was hardly included in the conversation [about Claire’s text messages] when they were sitting on the bed,” another pointed out. “She may as well not have been there, poor girl.”
“[At the] end of the day if you can’t decide between two, three or four girls then none of them are right,” one person added on Instagram.

“Thomas should find Claire and let these ladies go home,” yet another suggested.
“I think Claire left because she didn’t want to be in a competition, if he likes her why not leave the show and just go get her,” someone else added.
After the texting scandal, Clarette told Thomas that if he wants to pursue a relationship with Claire, he should just send all the girls home, adding, “Don’t waste my time.”
He responded, “Nah, she left here for a reason, and, yeah, I’m over her, I’m not even going to open the message. Because, what’s the point opening it?”
Thomas told the girls that he only told them about it in a bid to be honest, but after Clarette later asked to see the messages and she realised the extent of the texting, he bolted, leaving all four women back at the farm, with no explanation for Jessica and Laura, who weren’t around when Claire was at the farm.
Interestingly, when speaking to the cameras, Thomas only mentions how he hurt Clarette “really bad”, not Rachael or the others.
Time will tell whether or not Thomas will stick around much longer!
