We have some new developments in the trade situation for Joel Armia, with the Montreal Canadiens, thanks to the excellent Chris Johnston.
Kent Hughes has informed his counterparts that Armia is indeed available for trade. However, he has a price in mind and will not trade Armia for less than that price.
This aligns with Kent Hughes’ approach in recent years.

After all, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic, not only is Armia available, but it should take a second-round pick to get him out of Montreal.”

Now, that’s interesting.
This will be a file to keep an eye on in the coming hours, and by tomorrow evening, but it seems to indicate that, even though Jake Evans has signed a contract extension and has been removed from the trade market, that doesn’t necessarily mean Joel Armia won’t be traded.
It will all depend on the offers that are made by tomorrow evening.
