As he mentioned in a message to his friend Pat McAfee, the tight end doesn’t want to say goodbye just yet because he feels he didn’t deliver what was expected of him in that championship game in New Orleans.
However, one of the questions many fans are asking is how much longer Kelce will play alongside Patrick Mahomes. Before the Super Bowl, he said he felt his body was ready for even three more years, but that doesn’t seem like the real timeline.

Travis Kelce will not retire for now, but one of the conditions for his return is that, no matter what happens, he will not play more than one season. Several reports have confirmed that a future beyond 2025 is absolutely unfeasible.
Before the 2024 season, the star signed a two-year, $34 million contract. His retirement date will coincide precisely with the duration of the deal. Additionally, with his return confirmed, the player will receive the well-known $11.5 million roster bonus on March 15.
