Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are living “separate” lives after spending a “shocking” amount of time apart, with the Aussie star residing in a lavish UK mansion.

Nicole Kidman is spending a small fortune to live in the UK without Keith Urban, with an insider suggesting the move is like the couple have gone their “separate ways”.

The Aussie film star, 58, has been residing in England at pop star Boy George’s former luxurious Hampstead mansion to film Practical Magic 2.

Kidman and Sandra Bullock will reprise their roles as orphaned sisters Sally and Gillian Owens in the sequel to the 1998 film of the same title.

Nicole confirmed Practical Magic 2 wrapped filming on Saturday, but she is reportedly “getting comfortable” at the home, which costs her AUD $132,000 per month to live at without her country singer husband of 19 years.

Keith hasn’t been seen at her mansion while he travels across the US and Canada with his High and Alive tour until the middle of October.

Despite his legitimate business commitments, an insider told Woman’s Day their time apart is unusual and has raised eyebrows among fans.

“They do make an effort to speak every day when they’re apart, but it’s shocking how much time they’ve spent apart since Nicole’s mother died last September,” the source told the publication on Monday.

“It’s like they both went their separate ways. Now she’s getting comfortable in a dream home in London on the other side of the world.

“No one knows how long they can put up with this situation, as they’ve always been diligent about not spending more than two weeks apart. Clearly, that’s not the case anymore.”

American musician Seth Rudetsky’s brother Michael died aged 27 at the Hampstead mansion in 1986 while working with Boy George.

Rudetsky reportedly died of a heroin drug overdose.

Still, this has not deterred Nicole from making the mansion her home.

A source said the Grade II-listed home, which boasts five bedrooms and bathrooms, a cinema, a roof terrace and a meditation room, is the ideal slice of paradise for any star used to living in the States.

“If you put aside what must’ve gone on in that house over the years, it is stunning, in a beautiful location, and it has lots of space,” the source said.

“It’s made for a Hollywood star. It’s close to Hampstead Heath, which is a draw for stars used to living in America.”

Boy George, whose real name is George O’Dowd, continued to reside at the home until 2022, before listing it for sale for more than $30 million.
