Reality TV star Lachlan Rofe has been found dead on his Camden, NSW farm – as his final social media posts emerge.
Married At First Sight star Lachlan Rofe has died at the age of 47, spending his final years out of the limelight on his NSW farm.
Rofe was a NSW cattle farmer who appeared on Channel Nine’s reality TV juggernaut in 2015 where he was paired with Clare Tamas, before starring on Channel Seven’s rival show Farmer Wants A Wife the following year.
NSW Police confirmed Rofe died on Tuesday at his property in the town of Camden, 65 kilometres south-west of Sydney’s CBD.
His cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
In a statement to SkyNews.com.au, a police spokesperson said emergency services were called to Old Razorback Road, Razorback, about 10 am on Tuesday after a man was found unresponsive in his home.
“NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and commenced CPR, however the 47-year-old man was unable to be revived,” the spokesperson said.
“Investigations are continuing into the circumstances, and anyone with information is urged to contact Camden Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
“A report will be prepared for the coroner.”

Following his reality TV stint, Rofe looked very different off-screen and traded his short hair for a grown-out look in a series of Facebook posts.
The 47-year-old in one video shared on the social media platform in 2022 showed him sitting on his porch alone dressed in a beanie, sunglasses and a dark hoodie while singing and making hand gestures to the camera.
A few days earlier, Rofe shared a recording imitating being a talkback radio host while speaking to made-up members of the public about COVID-19.
He also shared several tributes to his late father Warwick Rofe, who died on Boxing Day in 2013 following a lengthy battle with cancer.
The reality TV star was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Kasey Williams in front of her two-year-old daughter in 2017.
Rofe in 2016 was ordered not to approach Ms Williams within 12 hours of drinking or taking drugs after an alleged incident between the pair.
He launched an appeal over being handed a 12-month good behaviour bond, and his guilty verdict was dropped.
“Being a man of principal, I chose to clear my name,” Rofe said in 2018 after the verdict was overturned.
“I’m too scared to even go see women ‘cos I just feel with everything that’s happened, I just feel like I’m a target.”
Rofe also made headlines in 2016 when his family’s property was investigated over allegations of illegal tree clearing, to which the star claimed at the time people were just “jealous” of him.
The investigation outcome was never made public.
Rofe was romantically linked with notorious pig hunter Natalie Cepenuik, who RSPCA NSW investigated in 2017 over a disturbing viral image of her putting a decapitated joey in her mouth 2017.
Cepenuik in a comment next to the photo wrote: “I may have deep throated a joey’s neck,” alongside several laughing and beer emojis.
Tributes for Rofe flooded social media this week, including from fellow MAFS star Ryan Donnelly.
“Wow, that’s tragic. I was born in Camden, very sad to lose a local so young RIP,” Donnelly wrote.
Another person said Rofe loved his farm “more than life itself” and they were “saddened to hear the news” of his death.
“Deepest condolences to his family and friends. RIP,” one more person wrote.
“Geeze, that’s terribly sad, RIP young fella,” another person said, while one more mourner simply wrote: “That is tragic, so young”.
