I have to admit, we were expecting a different outcome. Many, including Elliotte Friedman, were wondering whether the Montreal Canadiens would take a chance on him.

Yet everything seems to be up in the air. The St. Louis Blues decided to end his contract and he was placed on unconditional waivers.
