The Block’s former besties have fallen apart.

On Tuesday, tensions between two teams – Britt and Taz and Sonny and Alicia – descended into cruel words.

Alicia confronted Britt and Taz, telling them that they should not start work on their deck before everyone else had completed their subframes.

Britt and Taz took it personally, but Alicia defended her position.

 ‘It’s not personal. We haven’t said anything negative or derogatory towards any of you,’ she insisted to the pair.

Alicia asked Britt and Taz for a private word to try and make peace – but it didn’t go well and ended in the two bickering.

‘I will not allow you to throw me under the bus. I did nothing towards you, I’m not going to cop it,’ Alicia said.

‘I’m not going to let you make me out to be a bad person.’

Taz argued back: ‘We came into this and you two were just our absolute best mates. But the way you’re carrying on…’

Sonny admitted that he had been a ‘d**k’ to the pair, but tensions didn’t simmer down.

‘We’re trying to have a bit of empathy for why they are the way they are,’ Britt said after the meeting.

‘They’re highly stressed because they haven’t won a room. Not everyone is built to deal with this sort of pressure’.

It appears the bad blood will rise again, and that the friendship between the four is over.

‘She’s pretty good at it,’ she added snidely when out of earshot.

The show also descended into chaos during the inspections on Monday.

Britt and Taz launched a stinging critique of Sonny and Alicia’s layout – but the move quickly backfired when fellow contestants hit back, slamming the West Australians for major painting blunders in their own build.

The confrontation escalated when Sonny, refusing to bite his tongue, sarcastically shouted across the site while walking past Britt and Taz’s work-in-progress: ‘Sorry, but that is f***ing amazing… and finished.’

The fiery exchanges came just days after Sonny dobbed in Britt and Taz for working ahead on their alfresco deck, a breach that saw Foreman Dan ban the pair from continuing construction.
