It was a reunion decades in the making on Tipping Point Australia this week.
When 85-year-old Glenn arrived to battle it out for the $20,000 jackpot, he brought along a special photo – of a young Todd Woodbridge!
The retired tennis coach and umpire revealed that his appearance on the show was far from the first time he’d brushed shoulders with the host and legend of the sport.
“I’ve umpired you multiple times and I’ve never given you a code violation,” Glenn explained.

The contestant and host went “way back”, owing to Glenn’s time as a coach for an elite junior tennis development program.
“You were a junior and my children were both in that too, but they were in the B squad,” Glenn said.
He arrived with a photo he’d taken at Wimbledon in 1989 of a young Todd.

“I was playing a bloke by the name of…” Todd began.
“Pete Sampras, beat him in four,” Glenn remembered.
It was a welcome chance to reminisce for Todd, who fondly recalled defeating the future seven-time Wimbledon champ.
“I got him in his early days before he was that good,” he joked.
“That’s a nice trip down memory lane, thanks for bringing that with you!”
Todd is one of only seven players to beat the American tennis legend at Wimbledon, knocking him out in the first round in 1989 – which happened to be Sampras’ first ever match at the tournament.
He went on to win seven Wimbledon singles championships across his career, and 14 Grand Slams in total.

Todd is best known for his doubles career, during which he won 10 Wimbledon titles; nine in mens doubles and one mixed doubles.
However, Todd had a notable junior singles career, reaching the finals of both the 1989 Australian Open and Wimbledon in the boys’ singles competition.
