With only five women left on The Golden Bachelor Australia, everyone is wondering who Barry “Bear” Myrden will choose.

Or, if he ends up staying with them.

There have been whispers that he isn’t still with his final pick, and one photo has added fuel to the fire.

In October 2025, Channel Nine shared never-seen-before photos from Bear’s photoshoot group date, of him and Pip sharing a passionate kiss.

As part of the group date, the leading man wanted to revisit film romances. For his one-on-one moment with Pip, they recreated the steamy kiss Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling had in The Notebook.

Both Bear and the hoist operator committed to the setup, with Pip wrapping her legs around him, in a blue dress similar to that in the film.

However, we didn’t see it go to air a couple of weeks ago.

Instead, we saw Bear recreate moments from Muriel’s Wedding, Dirty Dancing, and Grease, with Sunny, Shamse, Jan, Gera, Nicolette, Catherine, Elizette, Hamidah, and Katrina.

Who wins The Golden Bachelor Australia?

Despite their intimate moment, it was not meant to be for Pip, as she was sent home during the rose ceremony in episode six.

“The thing I’m really sad about is leaving all the girls. We’ve had the most amazing time,” she said when she left.

“You can’t force these things, and I wasn’t going to do things to make [Bear] like me because then he wasn’t getting to know me, so there’s no point.”

With only Sunny, Jan, Kim, Janette, and Gera left, we won’t have to wait long to see what happens.

However, Channel Nine has shared a teaser promo for the last two weeks. In it, Bear reveals that he’s in love.

We also see another epic kiss in the rain and an intimate date at the ballet.

The promo also reveals his struggles to send women home.

“It’s so bittersweet, I don’t feel good about breaking anyone’s heart,” he said.

Before this, rumours were swirling that he didn’t choose anyone at all.

Earlier this week, an anonymous caller told Triple M with Beau, Cat & Woodsy that they heard this.

The hosts, who spoke with Bear, were quick to weigh in.

“I’ve interviewed all of them (Bachelors) throughout my radio career, you can tell the ones that come in, and they can’t say much, but they look they’re exhausted, but they look happy…” Cat Lynch shared.

“He had that look on his face that was very similar to the Honey Bagder. And in my head, I’m like, ‘Oh, you realise what’s happened here’…it was weird.

“I was like, he’s either picked someone, and she’s rejected him, or he’s rejected her. There’s something weird about it.”

Beau Ryan agreed and predicted that he would choose someone, but his final pick was the one to call it off.
