Less than a week ago, the NBA fined Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant for making a gun-related gesture on the hardwood. Clearly, he hasn’t learned his lesson.

Ja Morant fined $75,000 by NBA for repeated finger gun gestures

Morant was disciplined twice in 2023 for flashing what appeared to be a firearm on social media. Before the 2023-24 season even started, the NBA gave him a 25-game suspension.

Most fans assumed he’d change his ways after being away from the hardwood for an extended period of time.

Judging by Tuesday night’s antics, Morant isn’t going to let the NBA’s fines stop him from using weapon-themed celebrations.

After making a 3-pointer against the Charlotte Hornets, he pretended to throw a grenade into the crowd. At least that’s what it looked like to the naked eye.

It didn’t take long for NBA fans to rip Morant for his recent behavior. Some think Adam Silver should send a message by banning him from the this year’s playoffs.

“At this point Ja Morant is just trying to get suspended,” one fan said after seeing the All-Star guard’s latest celebration.

“It’s a drastic move to try it granted the Players Association might push back, but the Adam Sliver needs to suspend Ja Morant for the rest of the season, playoffs included,” a second fan suggested.

“Really can’t feel sorry for him anymore,” another fan wrote on X.

“Ban this dude from the NBA,” a fourth person declared.

“Dude just doesn’t care about his image anymore and it’s kinda sad,” a social media user commented.

The NBA has not yet decided how it wants to handle this dilemma.

As of right now, the Grizzlies are the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference. They’re hoping to avoid the play-in tournament.
