EXCLUSIVE: Across seven seasons of Love Island Australia, Sophie Monk admits there’s one special man behind the scenes that has captured her heart – and her best angles.

Her husband (and personal videographer), Joshua Gross. They even met after filming season 1 of the hit dating series.

You may not see his face but you’ll certainly hear his voice in Soph’s many hilarious videos. See if you can spot him here:

“We’ve been together for seven years,” Sophie, 45, told 9Entertainment.

And if she ever forgets, the host just needs to count how many seasons of Love Island there are!

“We met when I was coming home from Love Island, the first season, so he’s been a part of this whole thing,” said Sophie.

They shared a kiss mid-air, and have been together ever since.

“My husband does come to Spain, he’s so lucky,” the host confirmed.

Josh joins Sophie every year in Spain where they film Love Island, taking on the role of personal cameraman and her number one supporter!

“I’ve never been so happy. I don’t know what it was but I’m glad I waited. You can settle, whatever, but I waited for exactly what I wanted,” she told 9Entertainment at the time.

Looking back on their relationship, Sophie admitted she was the one who said ‘I love you’ first – within one week of meeting.

Two and a half years later Josh, who comes from a background in medical robotics and tech entrepreneurship, got down on one knee.

Sophie and Josh tie the knot in an intimate at-home wedding

Sophie and Josh eloped in a secret ceremony at their NSW home in March 2022.

“I HAVE A HUBBY!” Soph captioned the stunning photos as she surprised fans online.

“We eloped-ish at home. I can’t believe I met him on a plane! It’s crazy. Best flight of my life! I really do believe everything happens for a reason.

“I love you @joshuargross thanks for putting up with how messy, disorganised and lazy I am. You’re my best friend in the world.”

Kind of.

While you won’t see Josh on camera, you’ll know he’s behind the scenes.

Aside from just being her hubby of Instagram, Sophie revealed that Josh is always on standby to help beautify her for her hosting duties.

There’s one beauty treatment Josh is always in charge of – fake tanning Sophie.

When she’s not filming, the pair enjoy “going to restaurants and the beach and a bit of shopping as well”.

“It sounds like my job is really stressful, I know,” she joked to 9Entertainment.
