Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, 81, has been engaged to 37-year-old ballerina Melanie Hamrick for some time.

In an interview with Paris Match magazine published on Wednesday, Melanie Hamrick revealed that Mick Jagger proposed to her more than two years ago. However, Melanie and the British rocker are in no rush to get married.

“Maybe one day we will get married, maybe not. We are so happy with our lives that I would not change anything,” Melanie said.

The pair, who have a 44-year age gap, met in 2014 when Jagger and his legendary rock band toured Japan – where Hamrick also performed with the American Ballet Theatre. They welcomed their son Deveraux in 2016.

Rumours of an engagement were rife in 2023 when Melanie Hamrick was spotted wearing a diamond ring. However, they did not confirm the engagement at the time.

Mick Jagger was married once to actress Bianca Jagger from 1971 to 1978. They have a daughter, Jade Jagger, now 53, from this marriage.

The rocker has since dated singer Marianne Faithfull, actor Jerry Hall and fashion designer L’Wren Scott. He has a total of seven children from previous relationships.
