Glamorous Channel 10 Melbourne newsreader Candice Wyatt has announced she is leaving the network after 15 years.
The 41-year-old is expected to have her last day on air early next month.
Announcing the shock resignation as a ‘new chapter’, the popular journalist offered no details about her next career move.
‘I leave Network 10 very proud of the journalism I have produced across 15 years, and the stories I have been privileged to tell,’ she said.
‘I have interviewed people in their darkest hours and others in the happiest moments of their lives.
‘I have made lifelong friends and memories and, at times, the 10 newsroom in Melbourne has been filled with colleagues who have felt like family — and it has been my second home.

‘But it’s time for a new chapter and new challenges and I can’t wait to see what the future brings.’
Wyatt’s career highlights include stories on the release of notorious convicted drug trafficker Schapelle Corby and coverage of the Rio Olympics.
She also reported on the late Cardinal George Pell, who made a successful appeal in the High Court against a sexual abuse conviction.
‘We are grateful for Candice’s contribution to the newsroom and wish her all the very best for her future endeavours,’ executive editor of 10 News Melbourne Nicole Strahan said in a statement.
Wyatt’s move comes only months after she hard-launched her relationship with boyfriend, David Proctor.
In a gushing Instagram shared in September, the blonde beauty could be seen sharing a kiss with her new beau.
‘My love ❤️,’ she simply captioned the post.
Many of Candice’s friends flocked to the comments to share their excitement and send their well-wishes.

Wyatt kicked off her career as a journalist 22 years ago, working for a local paper in the regional centre of Werribee.
In 2006, she scored a gig at the Seven Network as a reporter, based in Tasmania, which was followed by two years with ABC radio in Ballarat, Victoria.
She arrived at Channel 10 in October 2010 as a senior journalist and presenter.
