Veteran racing presenter and analyst Warren Huntly has died aged 63.
The Victorian presenter and form analyst, who quit his nine-to-five job to pursue his passion for racing commentary, passed away on Sunday, following a long cancer battle.
Warren was highly respected in the radio and TV industry, particularly for his journey from the bottom to the big leagues over a twenty-year span.
From working as a trackwork clocker and jockey manager to later on becoming a form analyst and presenter on RSN Radio, his love for all things racing shone through in his long dedication to the industry.
Racing Victoria chief executive Aaron Morrison shared a heartwarming tribute to the popular racing figure in the wake of his death, hailing him as, above all else, a ‘gentleman’.
‘Our sincere condolences go out to Warren’s family, friends and colleagues. On behalf of everyone at Racing Victoria and the wider Victorian racing industry,’ he began.
