Married at First Sight star Ella Ding and her husband Guy Palermo have welcomed their first child. The 31-year-old revealed the exciting news on social media after saying earlier this week she was overdue and her baby could come at any moment.

But on Thursday she posted a few photos of their new arrival. The former reality TV star shared that she’s already “obsessed” with her baby girl.

“Pia May Palermo,” she said on Instagram, revealing her baby’s name.

“Say hi to everyone. She entered earth-side 18.11.25 and wow I’m obsessed with this bubble.”

Ella, who appeared on season nine of the Channel 9 matchmaking show, told her followers that she unfortunately wouldn’t be able to host her usual livestream this week due to the arrival of Pia.

“It’s been a wild 24 hours,” she said.

“My heart is so full. Honestly the craziest, most beautiful few days.”

She posted another adorable clip of Guy holding little Pia and stroking her head, saying that she still “can’t believe” that they’ve had their first child.

One of Ella’s friends and clients, Renee Reader, wrote on Instagram that she was “in awe” of the couple for “bringing the most perfect baby girl into the world”

“Pia is so lucky to have you both guiding her through life and I’m so excited to be there every step of the way,” she added.

Rebecca Judd sent the couple a big “congrats” on social media, along with fellow MAFS star Jamie Marinos.

“Omg congratulations on the arrival of your beautiful baby girl,” he said.

Ella and Guy’s controversial pregnancy announcement

Ella and Guy married last year and revealed in May that they were expecting.

“Somewhere between healing and hustling, the next chapter quietly chose us,” she wrote in the caption when sharing with her followers about the happy news.

However, the announcement was marred in a bit of controversy as the couple’s news doubled as an advert for pregnancy test company Clearblue.

In the images shared on social media, Ella cradled her baby bump and held up one of Clearblue’s positive tests. Some felt it was odd to receive money in exchange for posting about being pregnant.

But the ex-reality TV star didn’t see it that way.

“It was a no-brainer. When the opportunity came to me, I was like, ‘Well, Clearblue literally told me I’m pregnant,’” she told Yahoo Lifestyle.

“Like, I don’t really know how much more you can align with a brand.

“The response I was like, ‘That’s a bit weird’, but at the same time, it made sense to me, and that’s like anything that I do, promote or talk about.

“If it makes sense to me and my people understand, that’s all that matters. And if you got offered, you would take it!”

Ella added that she and her husband agreed that they would accept any opportunities for their baby to start making money because “having a baby is f**king expensive” and “cost of living is f**ked”.

“We’re gonna open up a little bank account when it’s born, and that’s what we’re gonna do,” she said.

“It’s something that I wish my parents did for me from when I was a young age, and something that I really want to do for our baby to start helping them save from a really young age.”
