Although The Block 2025 finale was quite a shitshow, there’s no denying that this season brought us some jaw-dropping moments and even more fascinating contestants joining the show’s hall of fame, some of whom might be popping up on TV screens again in the future.

Almost two weeks on from the finale, let’s see what some of our fan faves have planned for their future beyond the bonkers building show.

Speaking of bonkers, it’s worth mentioning that for the teams who didn’t fare well at Auction Day, they recently received some grim news about their results… eek!

What are The Block 2025 contestants up to now?

Han and Can

They may not have walked away from The Block with a sold sign and a fat cheque but WA queens Han and Can are not packing up their hi-vis and disappearing into a renovation-dust-cloud anytime soon. While their bougie Daylesford cottage passed in at auction (justice for that kitchen btw), insiders say the girls got flooded with love from Channel Nine staff the minute cameras stopped rolling.

“There was so much warmth towards them,” one source told PEDESTRIAN.TV. “Everyone wanted them to know the experience wasn’t a waste. The Block crew genuinely adore those two.” And honestly? Good, because these two aren’t done. Not even a little bit.

Candace has apparently caught the property ~fever~ and insiders reckon she’s eyeing off a move into real estate. Yes girl, sell us the dream and the overpriced fixtures.

Not only that, but whispers say she’s in chats to potentially link up with WhiteFox, as in Marty Fox’s actual WhiteFox. If you thought she served chic-boss energy before, wait till she’s listing multi-million-dollar homes in a power blazer.

“She’s sharp, stylish and understands buyers,” an insider told us. Translation: Candace is quietly entering her million-dollar agent era and we’re here for it.

Meanwhile, Han has apparently become a favourite with the tradies behind the scenes, which is extremely funny considering some viewers thought she was too chill on camera. Turns out “Foreman Han” wasn’t just a meme, crew reportedly reckon she’s calm, good under pressure and could easily pop up again on-site in a future season.

Sure, they didn’t cash a six-figure cheque like Britt and Taz (who are now apparently on the outs with the rest of the cast), but Han and Can have walked away with industry support, legit career opportunities, newfound cult fave status and the potential for a The Block-to-TV-pipeline renaissance.

Money comes and goes but being the relatable queer couple who stole hearts and then possibly pivot into property and TV? That’s legacy.

Mat and Robby

As for fellow duo Mat and Robby, they may have been absolutely devastated by their auction result, but their future is looking bright!

While Mat has already yeeted himself into wholesome dad mode, Robby is apparently still flirting with the idea of becoming Australia’s next big reality-TV king.

Insider tea says Robby’s been quietly sliding into casting DMs like, “Hey bestie, put me in the jungle x”.

He’s apparently sniffed around a few shows in the past (no shade, get that bag!), but considering he has a partner and family, options like Love Island and MAFS are kinda off the table. Still, if I’m A Celebrity dialled right now? He would be packed before the Uber arrived, our source says.

Our sources say Mat, however, has retired from TV, refusing bugs, drama, or another plane ride. Fatherhood arc unlocked. Celebrity chaos arc declined.

Even The Block host Shelley Craft apparently adored them both but behind-the-scenes whispers say Mat had that real natural-TV charisma. Fun, grounded, actually normal (a rare unicorn).

Either way, these two have cemented themselves as one of the most likeable bromances to come out of The Block. One has jungle dreams, one has nappies to change. Balance!

Emma and Ben

New parents Emma and Ben are likely hella busy with their newborn bub!

ICYMI: On Thursday September 25, after a six-hour labour and four weeks before his due date, Emma gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Bailey Colter Cox.

As for their The Block home, it’s currently listed on Domain’s website. Fingers and toes for a high-paying buyer!

Sonny and Alicia

Following their runner-up placement on The Block, Gold Coast couple Sonny and Alicia thanked their supporters on social media

“The Block auctions have been and gone for another year. It was a day full emotions and feelings for our other contestants,” they wrote.

“We are so happy our team from Biggin Scott got us over the line. A profit of $120000. We can’t help but feel for our mates who were not as successful.

“We have thoroughly enjoyed our time on the block and want to take this opportunity to thank our family, all of our trades, all of the crew, our real estate agents and all of our supporters.”

Meanwhile Sonny told nine.com.au their $120,000 winnings will be a big help for their family, and revealed how they planned to spend the money.

“For us, to earn $120,000 and to put that away, in a business that’s really hard. This is tax free and it’s in our bank,” he said.

“We’re gonna go home and continue to renovate our house and try and move our kids in closer to town for a better life for them.”

The mum and dad of three haven’t posted to their socials since winning the series, likely due to the intense bullying they sadly had to face during the season.

“I didn’t even cry winning money, and now I’m crying about bullies,” Alicia said, adding that she didn’t get out of bed for two days as a result of the online cruelty.

“I think I said to Sonny at 11 o’clock one night, like I think I need to go to the hospital because I’m not a nasty person. I’m just not,” she said.

Hopefully the happy couple are finding the peace they deserve after the show, especially given they were one of the only teams to make bank!

Britt and Taz

As for Britt and Taz, they plan to use their winnings to pay off their mortgage, while their prize-winning home has been listed on Airbnb for punters to enjoy.

“It’s a bit boring, but essentially, that’s our mortgage paid off,” Britt told Chattr of their plans for their winnings. “And then a little bit left over to spoil the kids and maybe go on a holiday.”

The police officer pair added: “It just gives us breathing room, to be honest, that we don’t have to work in such hard spots and have to work such long hours. It’s not out of the ordinary for us in Newman to work anywhere from 14 to 19 hour shifts.

“Working, we don’t get to spend a lot of time together as a family or with one another, so now we have that stress off our shoulders that we don’t have to do that, we can spend more time as a family, do a bit of traveling, and we can focus on our careers and exciting things that we have planned going forward.”
