Another Block auction has come and gone and this year, it was a dramatic conclusion that made one couple half a million dollars while others left empty-handed.
Britt and Taz in House 3 emerged victorious, being crowned 2025 champions and taking home $520,000, over Sonny and Alicia who earned $120k and Robby and Mat’s $109k.
Emma and Ben’s House 1 and Han and Can’s House 2 failed to sell, forcing the teams to pass them in and continue negotiations with their agents and potential buyers in the weeks to come.

While there was plenty to celebrate for House 3, it wasn’t the high-flying auction everyone was hoping for.
Here is how those involved reacted to the results.
Scott Cam
Host Scott Cam was “gutted” some of the homes didn’t sell.
“Today was more realistic of what mums and dads are going through when they are selling their homes. Some are successful and some are not. But we want all of our contestants to be successful,” Scotty said.

“We filmed with them for three months and got to know all of them so well, but unfortunately Em and Ben and Han and Can weren’t able to do it today.
“But they still have the opportunity to be rewarded for their hard work as the houses go back on the market.”
The host also congratulated Britt and Taz “on their very well deserved win and the beautiful home they created”.
Executive producer Julian Cress
Block executive producer had mixed emotions following the result.
“Auction day is hard for all of us. There is no other day of the year we wake up feeling physically ill when we go to work. We are worried sick because we get so close to our contestants over the months and we want everyone to do well,” he said.

“It’s bittersweet to see two coppers from the Pilbara make half a million dollars at auction, which is amazing, but then to watch a young couple like Emma and Ben, who just had a baby, pass in, as well as Han and Can.
“It was an up and down and sometimes very tough day for some.”
Britt and Taz
On Today, the winners said they were “over the moon” with their result, which would make them mortgage free at just 30 and help set up their kids’ futures.
However, there was a bittersweetness to the result as they couldn’t also celebrate the success of their neighbours. See their reaction in the video below:
The duo had returned to work as Pilbara police officers a few months after the final ‘tools down’ and had been embraced by their community.
“It’s been great,” Taz told 9Entertainment after the auctions.

“It’s been so good. The locals in the community have really embraced us, as they always have. It’s not uncommon for them to be sitting around town on a few phones, watching The Block.
“We’re not from the glitz and glamour of the high-end cities we’ve been staying in recently. We’re just two country coppers and [after this auction result] we can just take a bit of a breath and really just look after the kids – that was our whole plan.”
Foreman Dan
Foreman Dan is with the Blockheads every step of the renovations, so it’s fair to say he is heavily invested in the results of the day.
Ahead of the auctions he wished the five teams luck and said they “all deserve to win in my books”.
Of course that didn’t happen and in the comment section of his own Instagram post Dan responded to equally disappointed fans.

“I am gutted for them,” Dan replied to one fan who admitted they’d been “screaming at the TV” after Emma and Ben’s house passed in.
Scotty, the teams and many viewers had criticised the reserve prices had been set too high at $2,990,000. It seems Dan agreed.
As one follower commented, “Who did the reserve prices?” Dan replied: “Someone who hopefully won’t be doing them again.”
