The Golden Bachelor‘s Sunny Long has hit back at rumours about her relationship with Bear Myrden.

Sunny confirmed that she and Bear are still very much together following the series’ finale airing earlier this month, debunking speculation otherwise.

A follower on TikTok asked if it was true that they’d broken up after she was spotted solo at an event. It prompted a passionate response from Sunny.

“Bear and I are still together and we are very happy being a normal couple,” Sunny said.

“We don’t have to worry about arranging secret dates and things like that so yeah, we feel free and very happy.”

Sunny said she realised “there are a lot of rumours out there” and encouraged her followers not to trust them.

“Please don’t believe whatever you read online or in big headlines, juicy titles about us,” she continued.

Bear declared his feelings for Sunny in South Africa in a beautiful end to his on-screen search for love.

“I know I made the right decision at the end 100 percent,” Bear told 9Entertainment after the finale.

“Sunny is full of life and joy and if anything seeing everything play out just reassured me that I made the right decision,” he beamed of his partner.

He revealed how they’d kept their relationship on the down low for seven months after filming.

Speaking to 9Entertainment after the finale, Bear revealed: “We talk every day, mostly twice a day – There’s been a couple of very secret getaways but they were few and far between.”

Despite not being able to meet up as much as they would’ve liked while the show aired, Sunny said their relationship had definitely grown stronger.

“It been hard, we wanted to see each other especially when episodes were airing but we couldn’t so we were just counting down the days,” Sunny added.

Now that their relationship is out in the open Bear and Sunny said they were “looking forward to getting back to some normality and being able to be seen out in public”.

Bear continued: “We know there’ll be an organic meeting of the families and there are decisions to be made but it’ll come in time, we’re not rushing anything, we just want it to happen organically.”
