Golden Bachelor fans rejoiced on Sunday night when Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden chose Sunny Long at the end of the show. After a very passionate kiss, Bear told Sunny that “this love is going to last forever”.

But the one question on everyone’s lips is whether they are still together today. The most-searched question on Google on Monday morning, with more than 50,000 people rushing onto the internet following Sunday night’s finale, was whether they were still together.

Well, it appears the 61-year-old engineer and the 58-year-old CEO have kept the romance very much alive in the months since filming ended.

In a sweet post on Instagram, the mum of two confirmed she and Bear are still going strong.

“After 7 months of dating in secret, we can finally be public and tell the world we are happily together!” she wrote.

She shared several photos of herself and Bear, as well as the pair with her two daughters.

Fans loved seeing that the couple is still happy and very much in love.

“The best news ever! So happy you both found love,” one viewer wrote.

“YAYYYY go Sunny!” added another. “You deserve all the happiness!”

“There is no specific age for love. Love and hope never ends,” said a third.

‘Very meaningful’: Sunny reflects on ‘incredible’ experience

Sunny told Yahoo Lifestyle ahead of the finale that she had an “incredible” experience on the show and loved getting to know Bear.

“I’m quite vulnerable and I was just truly just being myself throughout the whole journey, because authenticity is the main factor for any relationship,” she said.

Speaking to Woman’s Day, Sunny revealed she and Bear have enjoyed “a few secret meetings at Airbnbs” where they would have to show up separately and rush into the location.

“We couldn’t stand by the windows,” she said.

“I think you said it was a bit of fun sneaking around, there was a bit of excitement?” Sunny asked Bear, comparing themselves to James Bond and one of his Bond girls.

But the two could be on the cusp of something much bigger than just being relationship official.

Bear hinted at the possibility of marriage, saying that they had “a lot of things to discuss”.

Sunny added that she and Bear have “huge feelings for each other” but are taking things slow.

“Both of us want to see our love grow organically, so we’re going to take it one step at a time,” she added.

How is Jannette feeling?

Jannette was understandably devastated when she was told in Cape Town that Bear wasn’t picking her.

After struggling to open up her heart during the season, she finally confessed in the last episode that she was falling in love with him.

This made it even more brutal when the Golden Bachelor picked Sunny instead, and Jannette made a fast exit to the waiting car.

“I felt like a bit of a fool and this has shown me to be very protective of my heart,” she told 9Entertainment, revealing that she and Bear haven’t spoken since.

” I messaged Sunny because I was genuinely happy for her. I realised in the end she was in love with him, and I wished her well, and I wished them a happy life together and whatever comes from it.”

Bear told the outlet that he “100 per cent” made the right decision with Sunny.

“Janette was having a very difficult time showing me that she was able to commit. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and ample opportunity but I think she just found it difficult,” he said.
