EXCLUSIVE: All anybody could talk about as The Block’s alfresco areas and Stratco sheds were unveiled was Robby and Mat’s secret wine cellar.

It had been in the works for months now and when Dan and Dani finally laid eyes on the finished result, it was safe to say she was a little underwhelmed.

“You have talked this up through the roof,” Dani said to husband Dan as they stepped into the underground wine cellar.

While she agreed it was a cool concept, she pointed out a number of crucial flaws including a table that was too small and another that wasn’t as easily fixed.

Over in Robby and Mat’s alfresco space Dan declared he was “offended” by one of their selections.

Dan predicted that Dani would “hate” the golf simulator in Emma and Ben’s shed.

“Hate is a strong word,” Dani said, but what she felt wasn’t far off.

“It’s certainly not going to do them any favours at auction,” she noted.

In Han and Can’s alfresco and shed it was clear as day “there’s been some issues with budget and time management”.

You can say that again, Dani! There sure has been.

For a team with no cash left in the bank, Dan and Dani couldn’t understand why House 2 “unnecessarily spent” on skylights in the shed.

“They’ve spent so much money in here for no reason,” Dan shook his head.

While House 4’s simple shed was exactly what Dan and Dani thought all the others should’ve been like, there was one inclusion they thought was “just plain weird”.

“What’s the point?” they wondered.
