The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies has suffered a double tragedy after losing both her dogs within eight weeks of each other.

The Channel Seven star took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal she was ‘heartbroken’ after her French bulldogs Tilly and Pepe had both passed away.

‘It’s with heavy hearts we share some devastating news. Our beloved Frenchie bulldog babies have gone and we are heartbroken,’ the 58-year-old began the post.

‘We shared so many of their adventures with you all – their antics, Pepe’s ‘talking’, the cuddles, the cuteness. And now they are all memories.

‘Sweet Tilly. Our gentle girl. A snuggly one-eyed pirate princess. While we were her second family, she immediately was our baby girl.’

Kylie went on to say that both had passed away from underlying health issues.

‘Tilly passed in my arms. She was 14 years old. Her body gave way as we had been told it might. We believe she waited for us to return from a trip away before she closed her eyes for the last time.

‘Darling Pepe. Not quite 14. The ever smiling chatterbox, the alpha in the house. Our bruiser boy. And the biggest sook. He was ours since he was just 10 weeks old, growing up alongside Gus and Archie.’

She added: ‘Pepe’s symptoms came on quickly. Way too fast. There were no humane options. He passed with all four of us by his side.’

The grieving dog mum revealed that her ‘house is quieter’ following her pups’ passing, with the family still not used to the absence of their beloved pets, however the silver lining is that they are together.

‘Our boy and girl died exactly eight weeks apart. Too close. But they’re sleeping side by side. As they always did. Now eternal.’

She finished off the post, saying: ‘We are thankful for their love and wet kisses. We’ll love them forever.’

Kylie accompanied the moving words with pictures of her much-loved bulldogs.

Friends of the TV personality flooded the comments section of the post to offer her support in the wake of her loss.

Kylie went on to say that both had passed away from underlying health issues

‘My heart breaks you lost both … I know you do not think it but a new little soul can heal your heart… It works for me and I am the crazy dog lady I have five,’ Real Housewives of Sydney star Krissy Marsh wrote.

Dr Chris Brown penned: ‘What a life you gave them @kyliegillies Those bright happy faces in these pics are all testament to the love your family gave them every day until the last. They felt it. I hope you’re ok.’

‘Devastating news @kyliegillies. I know how huge a part of your lives those beautiful babies were x,’ shared her co-host Larry Emdur.

Sam Mac also sent his regards, writing: ‘Oh Kylie! I know that feeling. And I know how much they mean to you & your family. Sending big love. Be ever so proud of the life you gave them. Gratitude is what helped me. X’

‘I’m so sorry. Sending you so much love xxx,’ singer Ricki-Lee Coulter wrote.
