EXCLUSIVE: The Golden Bachelor couple Bear and Sunny celebrated being able to “be out” about their relationship with a good old fashioned street party.

In an exclusive video, which you can watch above, 9Entertainment goes inside Bear’s viewing party with his family, friends and neighbours.

The moment his sons found out about Bear choosing Sunny is revealed and Sunny sends an emotional message to Janette.

While all of Australia found out who Bear’s feelings were with on Sunday night, it turns out his sons found out not long before the rest of the country.

Bear declared his love for Sunny in South Africa seven months ago and the pair had to keep their romance a secret.

Turns out Bear kept it a secret even from his sons!

“I didn’t know who it was going to be, he never said anything,” eldest son Charlie said.

“I was trying to drop hints but yeah.”

Sunny couldn’t quite keep the secret all to herself with her daughters Chloe and Penelope knowing all along.

Bear and Sunny spoke previously to 9Entertainment about the next step in their relationship: having their families blend and kids meet “organically”.

It looked like that was already happening with Bear’s son Charlie and Sunny’s daughters Chloe and Penelope getting to know each other at the street party.

While the couple had a lot to celebrate, Sunny couldn’t help but get emotional as she talked about watching Janette’s meeting with Bear in the finale.

“It was very brutal, she’s a beautiful, wonderful person and I wish her the very best and she’s said wonderful things about everybody and she deserves every happiness in life,” she said of Janette.

Are Bear and Sunny still together?

Yes! Bear and Sunny are still together and they are elated to finally move forward with their relationship after months of keeping it secret from the public.

Speaking to 9Entertainment, Bear revealed: “We talk every day, mostly twice a day – There’s been a couple of very secret getaways but they were few and far between.”

Despite not being able to meet up as much as they would’ve liked, Sunny said their relationship has definitely grown stronger.

“It been hard, we wanted to see each other especially when episodes were airing but we couldn’t so we were just counting down the days,” Sunny added.

Now that their relationship is out in the open Bear and Sunny are “looking forward to getting back to some normality and being able to be seen out in public”.

Bear continued: “We know there’ll be an organic meeting of the families and there are decisions to be made but it’ll come in time, we’re not rushing anything, we just want it to happen organically.”
