Skye Wheatley has confirmed she has officially split with her partner Lachlan Waugh after seven years together.

The reality star revealed on Nova Podcast Skye & Callum that she and the Shopfit Co founder are taking a break while still co-parenting their two sons, six-year-old Forest and four-year-old Bear.

Speaking on her podcast alongside her co-host and Love Island alum Callum Hole, the 31-year-old confessed that the couple had gone through ‘little breaks’ in their relationship before, but this is the longest they’ve been separated.

‘Basically you heard it here first. There has been a breakup, but then we’ve been co-parenting,’ she confessed.

Skye added that the stress of work, young children, a renovation and running their own business had taken a toll on their relationship, making it ‘very hard to understand each other sometimes’.

‘So yeah, we’ll usually have little breaks so we can just reset and then we usually come back. But this has definitely been the longest co-parenting split slash break we’ve ever had.’

The Big Brother alum was tearful as she added that this is the closest she and Lachlan, 34, had been to ending their relationship for good.

She went on to shed light on the difficulty of juggling a split while still living together and raising their kids.

‘We were pretty much cold turkey. We’d only contact each other if we needed to chat about the kids or whatever. But it was hard because we were still living under the same roof.’

In the segment, Skye rocked a new look, wearing a pink wig with choppy fringe.

Wearing a black mini dress, the social media star was emotional as she made the devastating relationship confession.

Rumours of a rift between the couple first began circulating in September.

Their relationship had come under the microscope after fans of the influencer pointed out she had failed to post about Lachlan in more than two months.

With her recent posts focusing on raising their children, eagle-eyed fans were quick to speculate.

Skye hinted her relationship was over during an Instagram Live, in which she appeared to be intoxicated.

Skye responded to a fan who asked whether Lachy had cheated on her.

‘I don’t know, maybe,’ the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here winner replied.

Skye’s sister Kahla – who was tuning into the Live – promptly weighed in on the speculation, writing in the comments section that she didn’t believe Lachy would cheat.
