Robert Irwin’s Dancing With The Stars partner, Witney Carson, has revealed the wildlife conservationist has suffered an injury just hours before the show’s finale. Speaking about their final choreographing session, Witney said her and Robert’s bodies have been “falling apart” after 11 weeks of dance rehearsals.

But she explained that the show must go on and Robert was going to push through the pain. But the 32-year-old dancer revealed that she had to “change some things” from their final routines at the last minute, which has been “the most stressful part”.

“Today at [camera] blocking is a little stressful because we just have to make the freestyle all come together,” she shared.

“Robert’s ribs have been killing him and more will be revealed on Tuesday and you guys can get a better idea of what we’ve been dealing with all week.”

It comes after Witney also suffered a painful moment during rehearsals when she had a large chunk of hair ripped out.

Witney shared some behind-the-scenes moments of their preparation and revealed how much she’s been putting her body on the line for the finale.

“Well, this happened … and yes, that’s my real hair,” she wrote. “[It] ripped out of my scalp. Blood, sweat and hair into this freestyle.”

In the photo, Witney laughed as she held a large chunk of her hair as Robert and other dancers stood around her in shock.

While it’s unclear how her hair got ripped from her head, the dancer didn’t seem too fazed by the moment.

How can Australian viewers watch the American Dancing With The Stars?

There’s been one question on every Aussie Robert fan’s lips since he first started on Dancing With The Stars in September… How can we watch the show?

Well, we have bad news.

Unfortunately, Australian viewers cannot watch the American version of the show on local streaming services, unless they have a VPN with access to US streaming services Disney+ and Hulu.

Even if you have Disney+, the content is geoblocked, so we can’t see it.

People often use VPN’s for increased privacy and security when using public Wi-Fi.

While it’s not illegal to use a VPN to stream content from other countries, it may be a violation of the streaming service’s terms of service and may cause them to restrict your access if you’re unlucky.

If you’re patient, however, the performances are generally uploaded to social media by both Dancing With The Stars and the performers themselves.

What can we expect from the Dancing With The Stars grand final?

The five remaining couples will each do three dances, making it a very demanding week.

They will each perform a Judges’ Choice dance, an Instant Dance, and a Freestyle routine.

For the Judges’ Choice dance, the judges will provide coaching and insight for each pairing, while the Instant Dance Challenge is an improvisation challenge, where the couples only know the style or song minutes before performing live.

The Freestyle round is the final round and will allow the couples to show off however they like.

Here are the dances Robert and Witney will dance to:

Judges’ Choice: The pair will perform a Quickstep to ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’ by Aussie band Jet.

Freestyle: For their freestyle, Robert and Witney are dancing to ‘Black & Gold’ by another Aussie, Sam Sparro, and ‘The Nights’ by Avicii.

The show will air from midday on Wednesday in Australia, so check social media around that time as the official Dancing With The Stars account will share photos and videos from then onwards.
