Sources close to Hugh Jackman have broken their silence after reports his ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness is set to pen a tell-all memoir about the “truth” of their marriage.

Hugh Jackman was allegedly “warned” Deborra-Lee Furness was being approached by publishers following reports his ex-wife has inked a book deal.

Furness, 69, was recently spotted meeting with a leading publisher in Midtown Manhattan amid rumours of a bidding war to secure a tell-all memoir.

Jackman reportedly expected publishers to bombard his ex-wife with offers to write a tell-all about their three decade marriage, which ended in September 2023.

“Hugh had heard about Deb’s plans but he didn’t really know until she told him herself during their secret meet–up,” a Jackman insider told Woman’s Day.

“He’d been warned early on that almost every A-list divorcee is approached to write a book but part of him hoped Deb wouldn’t take that fat publisher’s cheque.”

Meanwhile, sources in the Furness camp told entertainment reporter Rob Schuter that the book will be a “bold, emotional memoir about love, identity, and starting over.”

“She’s reclaiming her voice,” one pal close to the actress said.

“She spent years being known as Hugh’s wife. Now she wants to be known for her truth.”

The update comes after insiders claimed the former showbiz power couple, who share two adult children, Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, were mending their relationship.

“Hugh has been trying to make peace with Debs for a long while now, but as you can imagine, it has taken her time to feel ready,” an insider told Radar Online.

“Settling all the legal stuff seems to have helped because she’s finally coming around – they’ve gotten together a couple of times in New York recently to talk things out.”

Furness and Jackman, 57, first met on the set of the Australian TV show Correlli in 1995 and were married just a year later.

Within a decade, Jackman ascended to A-list fame in Hollywood on the back of the X-Men franchise, while Furness’ career largely took a back seat.

The couple’s divorce settlement process was handled behind closed doors, with Furness reportedly walking away satisfied with the terms.
