A source tells PEOPLE that Kidman has a “good attitude” following her split from Keith Urban

“She’s had a good attitude about everything,” a source tells PEOPLE amid her split from Keith Urban

Kidman officially filed for divorce on Sept. 30 in Nashville

Nicole Kidman is focused on moving forward amid her divorce.

“She’s had a good attitude about everything and life goes on. She was in Texas this weekend and is happy to be back at work,” a source close to the family tells PEOPLE.

Kidman, 58, stepped out for amFAR’s Dallas auction in Texas on Saturday, Oct. 4, to present her Lioness collaborator Taylor Sheridan with the night’s Award of Inspiration. The event, hosted by Teri Hatcher, was held at the home of United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby to honor the nonprofit’s support of AIDS research and preventing the spread of HIV worldwide.

“[Nicole’s] known Taylor for a couple of years. She considers him a dear friend. She enjoyed seeing him again,” adds the source.

On Sept. 29, news first broke that Kidman and husband Keith Urban, 57, had separated earlier in the summer after 19 years of marriage. Just one day later, on Sept. 30, Kidman formally filed for divorce in Nashville, citing irreconcilable differences and listing the date of separation as the time of filing.

Reps for Kidman and Urban have not responded to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.

The former couple share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, both of whom recently joined their mom during an appearance at Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 6.

Kidman and her daughters attended the Chanel runway show after the Oscar winner was announced as the French luxury brand’s newest ambassador. Kidman asked to be primary residential parent in the custody agreement as part of the divorce filing.

Kidman’s niece, Lucia Hawley, also joined the trio in Paris.

After the news of the split first broke, a source told PEOPLE that Lucia’s mom, Antonia, has been instrumental in helping her sister through this time.

“Nicole’s sister has been a rock, and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” the source said, adding that Kidman “didn’t want this” and was “fighting to save the marriage.”

Now, Kidman is looking toward the future.

“She’s been stressed because she knew the separation would eventually become public and she was dreading it,” a source close to the family told PEOPLE of Kidman on Oct. 2. “But she’s surprisingly level-headed and calm. Now that it’s out, she’s just focused on what’s ahead and her girls.”
