Married At First Sight’s Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James are one of Australia’s favourite TV couples but you’ve probably never seen them quite like this.

Ahead of Halloween the couple unveiled their “craziest” transformation to date, an ‘aged’ look and many fans didn’t realise who it was at first.

“TILL DEATH DO WE PART 🥀 Our favourite time of the year with special effects by @janellemyh,” they captioned a photo of themselves fast forward 50 years.

With the help of makeup artist and MAFS co-star Janelle Han, Evelyn, 30, and Duncan, 40, transformed into an elderly couple.

The look was complete with grey hair, saggy skin, a walking cane and a robe.

Fans were in stitches in the comment section of Evelyn and Duncan’s post.

“This is the best Halloween costume I’ve ever seen 😂,” one wrote.

While another said, “Plsssssss I can’t handle you.”

A third commented, “I look forward to this every year now, just so you know.”

For the third year in a row now, Evelyn and Duncan have shocked their followers with their outrageous Halloween get up.

In 2023 they dug through each other’s wardrobes to dress up as one another, and in 2024 they did the same again although this time they used their Logies outfit as inspiration.

Evelyn and Duncan join MAFS

Duncan joined MAFS as an OG groom and the experiment’s prince charming. He quickly became known for his chivalry and grounded nature.

Duncan was matched on the experiment to Alyssa Barmonde and the two remained in the experiment for the entirety of the journey.

A month into the show, Evelyn joined as a latecomer where she married bashful groom Rupert Bugden.

While Evelyn and Rupert tried to find their feet in their relationship, Evelyn quickly established herself as the one to call out everyone’s BS at the Dinner Parties.

Their MAFS marriages end

Both Evelyn and Rupert and Duncan and Alyssa made it to the Final Vows but both relationships came to an end.

Evelyn and Rupert mutually agreed there was no spark there and ended things amicably, while Duncan was the one to end thing with Alyssa admitting he didn’t see how things would work outside the experiment.

By the end of the experiment Evelyn and Duncan were still single, but their romance didn’t start till much later.

Speaking about how their romance came to be, Duncan explained to 9Entertainment: “We started hanging out a little bit after the show.

“Everyone’s sort of friends in the cast, and obviously me and Evelyn living in Sydney we probably hung out a little bit more.

“All of a sudden we went out on a couple of nights, and some of the warm fuzzy feelings happened in my stomach and I thought, ‘What’s this? How we going here?’

“Then… one thing led to another.”

“Mardi Gras [2023] was the first time we kissed, so I thought that meant we were a couple after that,” Duncan began. “But Evelyn didn’t…”

Following that night, he knew he had to make things official.

In the months that followed February 2023, Evelyn and Duncan began officially dating and telling their family and friends of the news, including their MAFS co-stars and Evelyn’s ex.

“Obviously [we] gave Rupert a call as well, and got the blessing from Rupert! He was very supportive as well,” Duncan said at the time.

Evelyn and Duncan announce their relationship to the public

In May 2023, the couple confirmed the happy news during an exclusive video interview with 9Entertainment.

A beaming Evelyn said: “This is Evelyn and Duncan’s hard launch. It feels good to finally just say it, and it feels kind of exhilarating in a weird, freeing way.”

By August 2023, Evelyn and Duncan made the huge move to live together and find a place to call their own.

So they said goodbye to city life and packed up their apartments to move into a place with much more space and a garden for Evelyn’s two dachshunds, Pickles and Mustard.

In a love that feels like a lifetime, Duncan shared an adorable tribute to Evelyn celebrating a very special milestone.

“2 years of loving you ❤️,” he wrote alongside snaps of their intimate date night.
