Nicole Kidman’s post-divorce hair transformation has a secret meaning in the wake of her shock divorce from Keith Urban, according to a celebrity stylist.

A celebrity hair stylist has revealed the hidden meaning behind Nicole Kidman’s stylish new ‘do in the wake of her divorce from Keith Urban.

The Aussie A-lister, 58, debuted her much-talked-about transformed strawberry blonde locks as she stepped out at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2026 catwalk presentation at Paris Fashion Week on Monday.

In a change from Nicole typically styling her signature waves with a middle or side part, the Babygirl actress donned a chic fringe instead.

The crown of her hair showed her natural strawberry colour peaking through while the lengths of her long locks shone bright blonde.

Edwards & Co. founder Jaye Edwards on Wednesday said Nicole’s post-breakup revenge chop was all about achieving an effortless look.

“Nicole’s hair is the perfect example of soft luxury, effortlessly undone and super healthy,” Edwards told Elle Magazine.

“The strawberry blonde tone is such a beautiful choice for her skin and eye colour, but it’s also one of the hardest shades to maintain.

“What makes this look work so well is the softness; the colour melts seamlessly.”

Edwards said the Holland star’s “undone but intentional” cut showcased the “old money energy” that is trending massively in the industry right now.

He said salons at the moment are abuzz with people chasing what he dubbed the “diffused finish”, which is a shift to lighter, more natural tones.

And fans of Kidman also doted over the mother-of-four’s “revenge hair” moment, with one person on Instagram writing: “The glow up is real”.

“Looking better and better throughout the years, and the demi-bangs and soft, warm blonde is gorgeous on you,” another person said.

“How could Keith Urban leave this gorgeous, amazing, talented woman?” one more person said.

“First she served the divorce papers and then she served face,” a fourth person chimed.

Nicole has wasted no time making a scene after filing for divorce from Urban last Wednesday, following 19 years of marriage.

In a statement on Tuesday, she announced her return as an ambassador for French luxury fashion house Chanel hours after the brand’s creative director Matthieu Blazy launched his debut collection in Paris.

The announcement comes 21 years after Nicole’s iconic Chanel No. 5 perfume commercial, directed by Aussie filmmaker Baz Luhrmann in 2004.

“I am thrilled to be joining Chanel as it begins its new chapter with Matthieu at the helm,” the Oscar-winning actress said.

Kidman has appeared to drop breadcrumbs hinting her marriage to Keith was over in the weeks before news of their shock split went public.

Vogue journalist Wendell Steavenson said he sensed trouble in paradise when he interviewed Nicole weeks ahead of the magazine’s November 2025 issue.

In the online version of the article that went live on Wednesday, Steavenson said when he asked Kidman how she felt in her 50s, he expected “a nice trite response about the sagacity of age”.

Instead, the writer said the actress was “wry, rueful, unsure of herself”.

“She said: ‘How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?’” he wrote.

Just a few weeks after that exchange, Kidman filed for divorce from her husband of 19 years, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Urban allegedly initiated their breakup and confronted Kidman about his “unhappiness” in their marriage, reportedly leaving her feeling “betrayed”.

It is understood the Holland star made every effort to save her relationship with the country music star – with whom she shares daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14 – and protect her family.

The country crooner, 57, is said to have already moved on with a younger woman in the music industry with reported links to his guitarist Maggie Baugh, 25, and singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini, 32.

Kidman and Urban were first introduced at the G’DAY USA gala in January 2005 and tied the knot in Sydney the following year.
