Australia’s high-profile theatre fans descended on the Pretty Woman: The Musical premiere on Thursday.

Held at Theatre Royal Sydney, the opening night saw guests attend in their scarlet droves to celebrate the dazzling stage adaptation of one of the most beloved romantic comedies of all time.

Leading the arrivals was singer Pauline ‘Paulini’ Curuenavuli, who shirked off the red dress code while showing off her major body transformation.

The 43-year-old, who was famously fat-shamed by Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson on Australian Idol, looked slimmer than ever in a butter yellow frock.

She paired the head-turning ensemble with strappy gold heels and a black purse.

The Fijian beauty wore her curly locks to one side while opting for rosy cheeks and a dark lip for the big night.

The Neighbours star slicked her hair back in a top-knot to reveal a glowy makeup look while wearing lace-up heels as she stepped onto the red carpet.

However, it was Brendan de la Hay who stole the show, arriving at the premiere wearing nothing but a shopping bag.

The TV star, known for their elaborate fashion choices, made a statement while wearing bondage-style belts, sheer gloves and stockings and a pair of sunglasses to the event.

The 35-year-old carried several shopping bags too, with the words ‘Big Mistake’ written on the front – an iconic line from the film-turned-musical.

Emma Watkins – aka Emma Memma – was all smiles on the red carpet, wearing a brightly-coloured floral frock to the premiere.

The children’s entertainer, 36, wore her curly hair in an up-do, held back with a red flower crown, while attending the opening night with her friend, who matched her in a flower-printed dress.

Jaynie Seal also made an appearance at the musical’s big night, wearing a curve-hugging black dress as she posed for the cameras.
