Keith Urban has grown “close” to a glamorous, newly single female country music star as he’s “out to embarrass” Nicole Kidman following the pair’s divorce turning sour.

Keith Urban has grown “close” to a newly single female country star offering him comfort in the wake of his divorce from Nicole Kidman.

The country crooner, 57, is said to have already moved on with a younger woman in the music industry following his split from the Aussie A-lister last week, marking an end to the Hollywood pair’s 19-year marriage.

Rumours swirled Keith is romancing his guitarist Maggie Baugh, 25, but he is now also linked to singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini.

An insider told Woman’s Day, Kelsea, 32, who divorced country singer Morgan Evans in 2022, has offered Keith a shoulder to cry on.

“It’s true he and Maggie Baugh have been working closely together, but he’s also still very close to Kelsea Ballerini, who’s also newly single,” the insider said.

Keith and Kelsea have “crossed paths frequently over the years and maintained a supportive friendship”, according to the publication.

A romance hasn’t yet blossomed between the pair, who have been in each other’s friendship circle for years.

Keith is professionally linked with Morgan, and the pair shared the stage at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry in 2019, with Morgan stating the Blue Ain’t Your Colour crooner was his idol who inspired his music career.

Morgan and Kelsea began dating in 2016 and were engaged on Christmas Day of that year, before tying the knot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in 2017.

However, cracks soon began to appear, and Kelsea divorced him in 2022.

She then began dating Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes in 2023, before a source in September confirmed they had split.

“They’re two adults who gave it their all and tried to do everything they could to make it work, but ultimately couldn’t,” the source told People.

“It happens.”

The development comes after footage of Keith serenading Maggie resurfaced last week, as he was also heard changing the lyrics of his hit single The Fighter to mention her instead of Nicole.

A source close to Nicole told The Daily Mail that Keith may be seeking revenge against his world-famous ex-wife.

“Keith looks as if he’s out to try to publicly embarrass and hurt Nic,” the source said on Tuesday.

“He’s always been the quieter one, but now that seems to have changed.”

Urban allegedly initiated their breakup and confronted Kidman about his “unhappiness” in their marriage, reportedly leaving her feeling “betrayed”.

It’s understood the Holland star made every effort to save her relationship with the country music star, with who she shares daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, and protect her family.

Nicole was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 until 2001, with whom she shares two adopted children, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30.

Kidman and Urban were first introduced at the G’DAY USA gala in January 2005 and tied the knot in Sydney the following year.
