Thomas Malucelli has been caught in an unfortunate gaffe after a bird pooed on him at Sydney‘s Bondi Beach.

The former Bachelor star – who announced his engagement to his longterm girlfriend Georgia May last week – was snapped doing a workout at the open air gym in North Bondi on Sunday where the embarrassing mishap occurred.

The 39-year-old was hard to miss in a pair neon pink Speedo shorts, which he matched with pink New Balance sneakers and a backwards black cap.

Thomas showed off his jacked physique and many tattoos as he went shirtless for the gym session.

He could be seen performing a pull up on the bars and chatting to a fellow gym-goer as he enjoyed a workout in the sun while beachside.

But Thomas’ smile soon turned upside down when he was targetted by a large bird.

After the mishap, Thomas was pictured washing the bird poo off his ripped chest at one of the public showers nearby.

It comes only a week after the reality TV hunk announced his engagement to certified Pilates instructor Georgia May in a romantic beachside proposal.

Georgia shared the news to Instagram last Monday, posting a stunning sunset photo of the moment Thomas got down on bended knee.

‘YES to the man I asked the universe for,’ she captioned the heartfelt post, tagging Thomas and soundtracking the moment with Coldplay’s All My Love.

Friends and fellow reality TV stars were quick to flood the comments with messages of congratulations.

‘YEEEEEEWWWW LESGOOO!!! Stoked for you guys!!!’ wrote Wesley Senna.

‘WOOOOOO! Unreal guys,’ added Rhys Sherlock, while Cameron Merchant commented: ‘Huge congratulations guys.’

Former Bachelor stars Jimmy Nicholson and Laura Csortan also joined in on the celebration, with Jimmy writing, ‘Congrats love birds,’ and Laura adding, ‘Oh amazing! Congratulations.’
