My Kitchen Rules served up a drama-filled elimination cook-off on Monday night that saw one team go home after losing by a single point.
Controversial Queensland couple Michael and Rielli drew level with Danielle and Marko in the meat banquet challenge after the safe teams scored them seven each.
It was down to Judge Colin Fassnidge to deliver the final result.
Rielli shed tears after the food guru announced that Danielle and Marko’s eye fillet with chimichurri dish and banoffee pie dessert earned 22 points – giving the Perth couple the win.
The night did not start well for ‘meat master’ Michael and ‘dessert queen’ Rielli.
With five minutes to go on the main dish for the couple’s pork banquet, Michael managed to drop an entire dish of ribs.

Luckily the lost food was ‘spares’ and they were able to serve a complete course.
During the episode, Michael expressed fears that his outspoken opinions would impact the final scoring from the safe teams, admitting at one point he ‘was not confident’.
During the tasting, it looked like his prediction had some substance as Michael’s MKR arch-rival delivered a shattering verdict during the taste test.
‘If I got that [ribs] at a restaurant I’d be sending a few things back,’ he announced adding later: ‘I think we want the meat master to go home – i i think his time is up.’
Meanwhile, Danielle and Marko’s steak appeared to impress the safe teams, though some complained it lacked an extra layer of seasoning their banoffee pie dessert appeared to impress all.
The night ended in a group hug as the teams gave Michael and Rielli a warm send off as Judge Manu Feildel had the last word.
‘What a team, you will always be remembered, there’s no doubt about that!’
Reflecting on his time on MKR, Michael’s familiar confidence was on show.

The judges deliver the final verdict
‘I didn’t feel any pressure throughout the competition at all,’ he told Seven.
‘Everyone tried applying the pressure to me but I’m so confident in my skills that I didn’t feel any pressure.
‘I could’ve done it with a blindfold on … like everything went perfectly.’
However, he did admit that he regretted dropping the ribs on the floor.
It comes after MKR dished up controversy on last week, after some contestants called out their rivals Lil and Lol’s ‘rude’ behaviour when preparing a dish.
The shock incident occurred during Tuesday night’s suspenseful episode, which saw the Queensland-based best friends face the challenge of preparing a complicated dessert in just 90 minutes.
‘We are making a sticky date pudding! Non-plant-based is always better,’ the pair cheekily told rivals Justin and Will, who were preparing the same dish with vegan ingredients.
Lil and Lol’s cheeky demeanour won them no favours as their dish did not properly set in time, while their competitive nature raised the eyebrows of their rivals.
‘Imagine you sit there and go, “Oh my God, theirs is better than mine”,’ fellow contestant Bailey sniped to three others, clearly unimpressed with Lil and Lol’s overconfidence.
