Married At First Sight star Amanda Micallef has revealed why being a single woman in her forties is better than being shackled to a relationship.

Amanda, who made Married At First Sight history by being part of the show’s first-ever lesbian couple in 2020, shared her thoughts on Monday in a series of Instagram Story posts, declaring: ‘Ladies 40+ killing it at life but still single! This one’s for you.’

‘Everyone thinks being single at 40 means something’s missing. No babe – it means I escaped the matrix of mediocrity,’ the reality star bragged.

‘I wake up when I want, travel where I want, and make decisions from my soul – not someone else’s comfort zone. While they’re scheduling life around school drop-offs and Sunday roasts (bless) I get to schedule quantum leaps, self care and business moves,’ she continued.

The life coach explained she isn’t looking for love, and is instead ‘becoming the frequency’ of love itself.

‘Because when you’re fully embodied in your worth, you don’t chase, you automatically attract what you already believe,’ she advised.

‘Imagine desperately seeking a relationship to pass the time!? (F*** that),’ she scoffed.

Amanda concluded her post by revealing she’s ‘too busy building a legacy that will stand the test of time’, and that whoever she ends up dating will ‘already be embodied in their own purpose, not looking to borrow mine’.

Amanda was married to influencer Tash Herz on Married At First Sight, but things quickly went pear-shaped on their honeymoon.

They had intense chemistry on their wedding day, but Tash felt differently the next morning and later admitted she wasn’t attracted to her spouse at all.

Tash went on to marry Canadian screenwriter Stephanie Fabrizi in May 2022.

Amanda went on to briefly date business owner Lana Wallington in 2021, but things quickly fizzled.
